My name is Angie Williamson and I am a Cancer Specialist Nurse however a few years ago I became an Independent Celebrant which I absolutely love as I have a passion for people. I am fully accredited, qualified celebrant, having undertaken training with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy.

I live in Bedlington, Northumberland which I love as I am 10 minutes from the beach and 30 mins from Newcastle, the home of the Toon Army and yes I am a crazy Geordie.

I live with husband John and dog Harvey and I am a proud mam of my son Shay who is loving his best life in the RAF.

Wedding ceremony 

I would love to help you both create a beautiful, personalized ceremony that reflects you as a couple.  We can add an extra special sprinkling of magic and make this day a day to remember.

As each couple is unique and so should be your wedding day.  The day should tell the story of you both, the love, the commitment and the joy.

I'm so looking forward to get to know you both, your family and your friends.

I am here to guide you through the day and help you will all aspects of the ceremony.

Funerals 

It is an honour to provide comfort, support and guidance whilst we walk through this difficult and unpredictable time together.

I will write a eulogy that will capture your loved one's personality, creating a script which will reflect their life.

I will help you tell their story that really truly captures them and what they mean to you.

 

Vows Renewal

What better way to celebrate your love for each other and your marriage by renewing your wedding vows.

This day should be a celebration of your life together and what you have been through and what you have achieved.  It's a lovely way of having your family and friends come together, celebrating your love and marriage. It can also just be a small ceremony with your closest family/friends. What ever you want I will support you to achieve the perfect day.

Funeral wishes 

Planning your own funeral can be difficult and challenging but you are in control.

I can help you write a few words, make a video, photos, choose the music, we could think of surprises and as we are doing this we will be capturing the essence of you. 

 

Direct funeral, Scattering of ashes and celebrating life 

With a Direct funeral the person has chosen for their body to be cremated and for you to receive their ashes. However you can still celebrate their life. You could have a celebration of life at a hotel, pub, cricket club, football ground or anywhere that meant something to them. 

You could have a scattering of ashes ceremony at the beach, woodlands or park etc 

I will write a eulogy and create a ceremony that celebrates their life and what they meant to you, their family and friends.

Come and get to know me

For the last 30 years I have had and continue to have a career as a Qualified nurse in palliative care.  For the last 11 years I have been a cancer specialist nurse and over the years I have helped and supported many people and their families at the most difficult time in their life.

In March 2024 I completed the course to become a certified Independent funeral celebrant.

I feel it's an honor to help and provide comfort and support and guide people during this difficult and unpredictable time and I feel I am in a unique position to continue my career in this rewarding way.

I will walk with you and hold your hand. I will take time to listen and capture your loved one's personality, creating a ceremony that’s reflects their life. I will help you tell their story that really truly captures them and what they mean to you.

We all come into this world in our own unique way and I feel we should leave this world in our own unique way.

In June 2024 I completed my Wedding Celebrant Course which I have really enjoyed and also completed the Naming Ceremony course.

I have loved writing personalised scripts and getting to know the couple and family and telling their story.

I will take pride and be honoured to be part of your special day, supporting you both and making sure it is exactly what you have dreamed of leaving you, your family and friends with special  memories. 

How do you create a personalised ceremony? 

What to expect

WEDDING: No two ceremonies are the same as we are all unique. I will meet you and get to know you both. Your wedding will be unique and personal you. I will write your jouney/life together and together create the most magical day.  

We can meet up as many times until you are both happy.  I will be there to support and guide you. I can be involved as little or as much as you need.

I am so looking forward to being a little part of your special day.

FUNERAL: There are not two ceremonies the same but I will get to know you and your loved one and create the day which celebrates their life.

I will come to meet you and your family.  If you have family that live abroad who want to be involved we can do this too.

Together we will create a service that reflects their beliefs. We can do this we the help of music , readings , poems and/or any tributes from family and friends.

I will then draft up the eulogy and share this with you and you can add or remove any details you wish. We can do this as many times until you are happy.

I will walk you through the service so you are prepared for the day.

We can hold a service at a crematorium or natural burial grounds. We can have a celebration of life ceremony, we could scatter their ashes at the beach or garden or at their favourite place. 

If you want a direct cremation then we could have a celebration of life and scatter the ashes in a place where they loved.

We cannot recommend Angie highly enough.  Angie officiated our wedding May 2025 and was just perfect from start to finish.
